Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.
In this episode we look back on Sunday’s 2-1 win over Chelsea. We discuss this Arsenal side’s prowess from set-pieces, and while it might not be to everyone’s taste, it shouldn’t be dismissed so easily – especially as it helped us win a very important game of football. We analyse the goals we scored, and the one we conceded, as well as chatting about how corners etc are now almost impossible to referee because of all the pushing and holding on both sides. We also talk about how Arsenal failed to control the game when Chelsea went down to 10 men, how tight margin games are part and parcel of a title race, and there’s obvious praise for David Raya after his heroics late on ensured Mikel Arteta’s side took all three points. Then we answer listener questions about Declan Rice, midfield options, Leandro Trossard’s recent form, mooted changes to VAR, and lots more.
