Fortiche Prod has revealed some “behind-the-scenes” photos of Arcane‘s primary actors. The animated action TV show based on Riot Games’ League of Legends surprised nearly everyone, swiftly becoming seen as one of the best titles Netflix has to offer and one of the best animated fantasy TV shows ever made when it premiered in 2021.
Arcane wrapped up with its second season in 2024, but multiple spinoffs are expected in the future. Arcane tracks the conflict between the affluent city of Piltover and the polluted budding nation of Zaun, with interference from other countries, while ambitious scientists investigate what they can do with the mysterious power of the Arcane.
While waiting for an Arcane spinoff to arrive — and it will likely be a long while, given how long it takes to render such stunning animation — the fandom is still thriving, with the flagship TV show available to revisit at any time and Fortiche offering up some small pieces of content. For instance, the animation student just posted images of the show’s “actors” behind the scenes.
Check out these images from X below:
The animated Arcane characters are posing as though they are real actors on a set, in the middle of a scene, or just wanting to capture the moment after a good day of filming. This includes Vi (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell) in the middle of a hug, Jayce (Kevin Alejandro), Viktor (Harry Lloyd), and Mel (Toks Olagundoye) together, and Jinx and Echo (Reed Shannon) with their younger selves.
There are also a couple of apparent candid shots of the characters looking over the script while they are filming, working on scenes such as when Caitlyn (Katie Leung) and Vi are together in Caitlyn’s room, and when Jinx kills Silco (Jason Spisak), who is still tied to a chair while checking the script with her in this photo.
Arcane is a pretty dark show, and the moments when the characters are just enjoying each other’s company are rare, which is what makes these images of them so striking. While they didn’t actually film on a physical set, of course, it still captures the spirit of the production, which relied on a lot of passion from the team for the few years that they were working on it.
This dedication to the story continues to drive the Arcane fandom, motivating the team to produce Easter eggs like this while they further develop the universe.
