English Premier League giants Liverpool have previously monitored U.S. men’s national team left back Antonee Robinson and on Saturday it was Robinson who provided his reported suitors with a positive glimpse.
Robinson registered two assists as Fulham claimed a 2-2 road draw at Anfield with the league leaders. The 27-year-old played a crucial role on both of the Cottagers goals on Merseyside, continuing what has been an impactful season.
Marco Silva’s men struck first in the 11th minute as Robinson kicked off his impactful performance in style. His cross from the left wing was volleyed into the top corner by Andreas Pereira, giving the Cottagers a 1-0 lead.
Liverpool were reduced to 10 men in the 17th minute when left back Andy Robertson was sent off for the denial of a goalscoring opportunity.
Cody Gakpo equalized for Liverpool two minutes into the second half, but Fulham would propel itself back in front.
Robinson’s dangerous run down the left wing led to a low cross that substitute Rodrigo Muniz backheeled into the far-right corner. It marked Robinson’s sixth assist of the Premier League campaign.
However, Liverpool would earn a late share of the spoils when Diogo Jota came off the bench to deliver the tying goal.
Robinson finished the match with four chances created, two tackles completed, and five duels won.
Fulham jumped to ninth in the league table following the result, extending its point streak to four-consecutive matches.
The Cottagers continue league action on December 22 at Craven Cottage against Southampton.
