Alexander Isak transfer can help ‘nail down dynasty’ as FSG “play best possible hand” – Liverpool FC

Having finally got the news that Liverpool and Newcastle have agreed a deal for the Reds to sign Alexander Isak, some supporters went online to claim the transfer can help create a dynasty.

Winning 1-0 against Arsenal, sitting top of the table and signing the best striker in the Premier League – not a bad way to finish the summer!

The longest saga of the summer is finally drawing to a close, with Liverpool having had a £125 million bid for Isak accepted.

As Liverpool broke the British transfer record for a second time this summer, supporters took to the internet to express their eagerness to watch their new No. 9 playing alongside Liverpool’s host of world-class players.

“Never in doubt. Just ridiculous Newcastle have made an absolute show of this all summer.

“British record broken twice in what is the single best transfer window any club has ever had. We aren’t just building a best in class squad this summer. We are nailing down a dynasty over the next five years.

“Welcome Alex lad. Privilege to have you in Red” – KloppiteE in the This is Anfield comments

“I will never ever speak badly about FSG again. They have clearly set up Liverpool for success over the next 5 years.

“FSG have absolutely just played their best possible hand. It’s like they’ve waited for Man City to decline to swing for the fences” – Aswce10 in the This is Anfield comments

“I’m just happy that finally this saga is coming to a conclusion.

“Can see concerns about the player’s character voiced here – personally can’t comment about this, since I don’t know anything – does anyone?

“Can only trust in our excellent scouting department in being able to prise away a diamond player from the most haughty, aloof club we’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with” – Paul Smith in the This is Anfield comments

“I don’t agree with this, look at the way he ditched Newcastle, who’s to say he won’t do the same to LFC” – Frank Eves on Facebook

“I don’t think there is a single person who would have believed this transfer window would happen when they were told back in May.

“I mean, we knew Kerkez and Frimpong were targets, but Wirtz, Isak? You’d have been called a nutter if you suggested either one, much less BOTH in one window” – Cyrus114 in the This is Anfield comments

“What a stunning day, topping the table, beating one of the bookish favourites for title and signing one of Europe’s top goal-scorers.

“Next move is directed to bring in Guehi to complete the party” – Saad El on Facebook

“Isak is a very, very good player. He can dribble, he is quick, amazing footwork, brilliant link-up play, brilliant positioning, he is good at one-touch finishes, good from outside the box, can play alone” – Chee’s Torri on Facebook

While a few fans have voiced their concern about how Isak has gone about securing a move to Liverpool, the vast majority are overjoyed to have the Swede among the Reds’ ranks.

Isak’s 27 goals in all competitions last season are just the tip of the iceberg when judging his quality; it is in his range of finishes and superb footwork that one can really see his potential.

At 25 years old, Liverpool aren’t buying potential, though. There is, of course, room to improve, but this is a striker who is ready-made to come in and take the Reds to another level in attack.
