The back-and-forth drama between the director of It Ends With Us and its female lead, Blake Lively, continues to heat up. With legal teams representing both sides using the press to assist in facilitating the respective narratives, Justin Baldoni’s team dropped a potential game-changer in the case. Per Variety, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, recently appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show, using the platform to unveil the latest evidence in the quest to clear his client’s name.

During the appearance on Megyn Kelly, Freedman played a voice note in full, dictated by Baldoni, allegedly from the night of the movie’s premiere. The voice note could serve as a significant blow to Lively’s case, instead aiding in proving Baldoni’s counterclaims about his own alleged mistreatment. The clip featured Baldoni lamenting about being ushered into a basement during the premiere, and forced to spend the celebratory occasion isolated from the rest of the movie’s cast, per Lively’s directive. As of now, the date on the message hasn’t been confirmed by the outlet. However, Freedman remains prepared to publicly release any and all electronic communication in a transparent approach. Baldoni’s words:

“We start laughing because of the ridiculousness of this whole thing and I realize like on a night that was supposed to be so materialistically joyful, I was in the basement with the people that love me the most and we were all joyful and laughing cos none of that s**t matters, none of it.”
