How To Watch
What to Know
The Nebraska Cornhuskers’ road trip will continue as they head out to face the Oregon State Beavers at 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at SimpliFI Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The Cornhuskers are strutting in with some offensive muscle as they’ve averaged 77.7 points per game this season.
On Monday, Nebraska earned a 69-55 win over Hawaii.
Brice Williams and Juwan Gary were among the main playmakers for Nebraska as the former went 10 for 18 en route to 32 points plus two steals and the latter went 8 for 10 en route to 21 points plus two blocks. What’s more, Williams also posted a 80% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he’s posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, Oregon State waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins… but they left with six. They walked away with an 80-74 victory over the Golden Grizzlies. The Beavers were down 68-56 with 4:32 left in the second half but they still came back for the handy six-point win.
Among those leading the charge was Liutauras Lelevicius, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. He had some trouble finding his footing against Charleston on Sunday, so this was a nice turnaround.
Oregon State smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That’s the most offensive rebounds they’ve managed all season.
Nebraska is on a roll lately: they’ve won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Oregon State, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Nebraska hasn’t had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 77.7 points per game. However, it’s not like Oregon State struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 76.8. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Nebraska took their win against Oregon State when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 84-63. In that contest, Nebraska amassed a halftime lead of 44-24, an impressive feat they’ll look to repeat on Wednesday.
