Paradise season 2 is only at the halfway point, but Sterling K. Brown already has an update about season 3’s filming window.
Brown plays Xavier Collins in Hulu’s hit science-fiction thriller series, a Secret Service agent who solves the murder of President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) in season 1, and who is now on a journey across post-apocalyptic America to find his wife, Teri Rogers-Collins (Enuka Okuma), in season 2. After premiering in January 2025, season 2 returned in February 2026, which is a much quicker turnaround than many other popular streaming shows.
On the That Was Us podcast, Brown’s This Is Us co-star Mandy Moore asked when Paradise season 3 filming is expected to begin. He shared that production is slated to begin at the end of March and will continue through the middle of August. Check out Brown’s comments below:
I’m not supposed to start season 3 of Paradise until, well, I don’t know if we’ve been officially picked up, but, you know, end of March. So we go end of March into mid-August.
While Paradise season 3 has not been officially renewed yet, it is highly likely that it will happen given the show’s immense success, Brown already knowing about the filming schedule, and there being a three-season plan for the story. Executive producer and writer John Hoberg recently spoke about how work has already begun on fleshing out the next season’s story and how the ending, which the creative team already knows, would make a fourth season “very difficult” to do.
With the season 2 finale scheduled for March 30, a late March production start means that there will be no delay between the latest season ending and the new one filming. This is consistent with what happened last year, as Paradise season 1 ended in March and kicked off season 2 filming during the same month. Fogelman has previously spoken about wanting to deliver the show on a consistent, annual basis, a promise that will seemingly be delivered on yet again, and this time for the third and final season.
After receiving an impressive 86% critics’ score and 84% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes for season 1, the critical acclaim has continued in Paradise‘s season 2 reviews, leading to an even higher critics’ score this time of 91%. Season 2 has been dominant in its streaming performance as well, where it is the number one show on Hulu and is in third place on Disney+ worldwide as of this writing.
Since Xavier has left the underground bunker and is on the surface to find his wife, the narrative scope and the cast of Paradise have expanded in season 2. New additions include Annie (Shailene Woodley) and Link (Thomas Doherty), who have survived for three years without the protection of the bunker. Instead of immediately focusing on Xavier, the first episode of season 2 centers on Annie and Link before the story returns to the protagonist.
Paradise releases new episodes Mondays at 12:00 a.m. ET on Hulu.
