Manchester United official injury update ahead of Newcastle United match

There has been an official Manchester United injury update on Tuesday.

This comes ahead of them playing Newcastle United on Wednesday night, an 8.15pm kick-off at St James’ Park.

Michael Carrick the one providing the official Manchester United injury update.

The interim Man U boss asked about Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire who were forced off during Sunday’s 2-1 win over 10 man Crystal Palace.

Michael Carrick: “We are hoping [they will be available for the Newcastle United match], they weren’t feeling too good but we have still got a little bit of time to the game and we will just have to see how they feel. So we’ll obviously give them every chance. It wasn’t injury, it was just both of them weren’t feeling too good. Just one of those things really. But we’ll just have to see how they are today and tomorrow morning.”

Jacob Ramsey was also forced off through illness during the Everton match on Saturday, Eddie Howe said earlier today that he expects the midfielder to be available tomorrow night.

Manchester United will be definitely without long-term injured Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt.

Whilst Lisandro Martinez and Mason Mount are also doubts for the game at St James’ Park, after both having missed recent matches.
