The modern cult action thriller franchise Becky is all set to return for what’s sure to be another brutal and bloody adventure. Details of the third Becky movie have been scarce since the follow-up was announced back in 2023, but suddenly all manner of information has been revealed, including a title, plot, and cast, with Becky 3 taking another well-known comedic actor and warping them into the series’ latest villain.
Directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, the first Becky was unleashed back in 2020 and introduced audiences to Lulu Wilson as arguably the most unassuming action hero to ever grace the silver screen. While reconnecting with her father on a camping trip, Becky is targeted by a gang of Neo-Nazis on the run. Of course, their leader, played by Grown Ups star Kevin James, has no idea of the violence lurking inside this particular teenager.
A sequel from directing duo Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote came in 2023, with The Wrath of Becky finding the eponymous avenger seeking revenge after an extremist group led by American Pie star Seann William Scott kills someone close to her. Both Becky and The Wrath of Becky were met with positive reviews from critics and have since garnered a cult following, with the latter now standing at 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, in the third installment, Becky is back and doing what she does best: killing Nazis.
Quiver Distribution has now revealed that Becky 3 will be titled The Last Temptation of Becky, with the sequel having wrapped and eyeing a theatrical release date in summer 2026. Lulu Wilson reprises the role of Becky, with the third outing taking How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris and contorting him into a neo-Nazi intent on establishing the Fourth Reich. “Now working as a field agent for the CIA, Becky (Wilson) is sent undercover to Poland to infiltrate a family of innkeepers who are running a tourist venture at The Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s WWII bunker,” reads the official synopsis. “After learning that the father, Wilhelm Reuss (Harris), is on a mission to bring about the Fourth Reich, Becky takes matters into her own hands.”
The Last Temptation of Becky will be directed by Jenn Wexler, with Matt Angel writing the screenplay based on a story by Angel and Suzanne Coote. The cast includes Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why), James Urbaniak (Oppenheimer), and Kate Siegel (The Wrath of Becky, The Fall of the House of Usher) alongside Lulu Wilson and Neil Patrick Harris, who, much likes Kevin James and Seann Willaim Scott before him, will surely excel as a sniveling villain as he faces off with Wilson’s unassuming action hero.
“After the incredible audience response to the first two Becky films, we are thrilled to have Lulu Wilson step back into this character that was made just for her,” Quiver Distribution bosses Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman said in a statement. “Having Neil Patrick Harris facing off against Lulu Wilson will take this series to a whole new level, and we can’t wait for audiences to see what Becky has in store for anyone who dares get in her way.”
