Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Leaked Green Goblin Design Leaves Gamers Torn

It may not have been officially announced by Insomniac Games at the time of writing, but Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is all but assumed to be happening, with Peter Parker’s Yuri Lowenthal all but confirming it in a recent interview, and even hints that a third web-slinger may be joining Peter and Miles in their upcoming escapades.

However, where there is a Spider-Man, there must always be a villain threatening to take him down, and thanks to a series of leaks surrounding Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, it seems as though Green Goblin is one such bad guy.

Back in December 2023, Insomniac Games was the victim of a huge hack in a ransomware attack with the hackers demanding $2 million from the Sony-owned studio. Now, over two years on, the consequences are still being seen, with some of the leaked documents still being shared online, with one such example being concept art of what Green Goblin may look like in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

We already know that Green Goblin, a.k.a. Norman Osborn, has been a frequent character in the Insomniac Games’ series as the owner and CEO of Oscorp Industries. Involved in pretty much every storyline in the series, it seems as though Osborn will be embarking on his “final chapter” in the next installment, and we can safely assume that this means his transformation into the Green Goblin.

Shared over on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, concept art for the Green Goblin can be seen, showing the iconic villain sporting his usual green skin, but in this iteration, he is looking pretty damn hench and can be seen all in black with a touch of purple in his cape.

This Leaked Design Isn’t For Everyone

It is worth mentioning that this leak is from 2023 and with Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 not having even been announced yet, this may not be the final design for Green Goblin. Nevertheless, that has not stopped fans from discussing this potential look and, as you can expect, it has left them feeling divided.

For user hushpolocaps69, this design gets the thumbs-up. “Glad they went this route instead of the monster version,” they shared. “The monster version would’ve been too similar to Venom.” On top of that, a fellow user added their own twist. “What if they do this version, but as the game progresses the mutation begins more and then have demon goblin by the end of the game?” They speculated.

“Damn, Norman made sure he hit the gym before he went on a rampage,” another fan joked, whilst user Captain_Norris had some suggestions, “Not too bad, would love more purple in the outfit beyond just the interior of the cape.”

Overall, it seems as though this potential design is being received well by fans, with just a few suggestions on how it can be improved. Now, all we can do is wait to see if and when Insomniac will announce the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and hopefully, it will be soon.
