Ndiaye – Godts – Alvarez feature in Arsenal transfer news now

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Mika Godts, Julian Alvarez and Iliman Ndiaye that you guys may have missed….

Arsenal have reportedly made an enquiry to sign Ajax and Belgium protege Mika Godts, and beat off the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea for the gifted young star that is tipped to be the next Eden Hazard.

The 2005-born attacker has been one of the revelations of the 2025-26 Eredivisie season, having a direct hand in 17 goals in just 19 appearances in the Dutch top flight this term – 10 of his own and seven assists.

Godts – who has drawn comparisons with Hazard thanks to his ‘electrifying’ playstyle – is under contract with Ajax until the summer of 2029, but the report adds that offers between £13m and £17m will be seriously considered this summer.

And a left-wing upgrade is seen as a priority for many Arsenal fans this coming summer, with Voetbal International claiming that ARSENAL have made an enquiry to sign Ajax and Belgium protege Mika Godts.

Godts’s agent has also told Sporza that he expects his client to be the next “mega-transfer” out of Amsterdam, saying: “Leaving Ajax [in January] was absolutely out of the question.

“He has a major goal: to play at least 100 matches [currently has 96]. He wants to be part of that club, so a transfer was out of the question anyway.

“Together with Youri Baas, Godts should be Ajax’s next mega-transfer. The financial need to sell has disappeared in Amsterdam, but they won’t refuse a significant amount.”

The summer transfer window is quite a quite a while away and the Gunners are more focused on winning that Premier League title over making moves to sign some more players, but the young man is tipped to be great.

ARSENAL are a massive club that give opportunities to stars like Godts, so if he does decide to leave Ajax in the summer transfer window, a move to the Emirates is one that would certainly improve his development.

However – at this stage of his career, he does not need to move and staying at Ajax for a few more seasons would make more sense if he really wants to be a top player in world football.

NDIAYE WANTED

There has been some shock reports in the media which have now claimed that Arsenal are the latest side to show an interest in trying to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye, although he may cost upwards of £60 million to acquire in the summer.

ARSENAL have been buying some quality players over the past couple of transfer windows, and all their hard work in the market has paid paid, as the Gunners are favourites for that Premier League title this season.

But there are a few players in the side that are probably no longer needed by Mikel Arteta, and there has been alot of speculation and rumours in the media about stars that could be let go in the upcoming transfer window.

The north Londoners boosted their title aspirations by investing heavily last summer, strengthening their forward line by signing Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, but now according to a report from Caught Offside, Arsenal remain keen on strengthening their forward options, and they have now entered the race to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye.

But the reports says that they will be in for a transfer battle to sign the Everton star with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United also keen on trying to prise him away from the Toffees when the transfer window opens.

Not only that, but the Toffees are set to hold out for a huge transfer fee, with David Moyes’ side looking to receive €65m – €75m (£57m – £65m), so the Gunners will have to spend big to get a deal done

ARSENAL have one of the best squads in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta has signed some real quality over the past few windows, but they will need to keep on adding to the side to stay ahead of Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United next season.

However – he doesnt need to sign players that will demand to start every week, so adding someone like Ndiaye to the side in order to turn him into a big star kind of makes sense for his plan.

But saying that, the attack is stocked and if Arsenal are looking to add to that midfield, they will have to possibly get rid of some of the fringe players.

BERTA READY TO COMPLETE ALVAREZ DEAL

According to TEAMtalk and journalist Graeme Bailey, Arsenal are already ‘holding talks’ with former Man City striker and Chelsea transfer target Julian Alvarez over a summer move back to the Premier League, via his representatives.

Arsenal would have to pay a big fee if they were to lure Julian Alvarez back to the Premier League, that is according to ex-Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness, amid the many reports that the Gunners are still keen on a transfer deal.

Over the past few weeks, it is no secret that have been heavily linked with a move for Julian Alvarez ever since news broke that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid would be open to letting the little striker leave the club during the summer transfer window.

However – ARSENAL are not the only club that is interested in a move for Alvarez at the end of the season, as there are also alot more reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea are actually leading the chase to sign the forward for a fee of £82 million

But now, According to TEAMtalk and journalist Graeme Bailey, Arsenal are already ‘holding talks’ with Alvarez about a move and Andrea Berta is also ‘ready to move quickly’ for the player, if given real encouragement that his preferred move to Barcelona could be off the cards.

Alvarez has grown increasingly disillusioned with life in the Spanish capital during recent months, prompting his camp to actively explore alternative destinations.

Amid all the speculation and rumours surrounding the striker, Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, ex-Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness thinks the striker would be worth the high fee Arsenal would have to pay for him.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Yes, look, I know that Julian Alvarez has been very highly regarded at Atletico Madrid.

“Everybody loves him, and he saved them in many ways. A number of big games. He’s a great player. If he was to come back, then I think that would be a big move, but well worth it.

“He is quality and I think he would suit them very well. But yes, he is very highly regarded, and it would not be a cheap one, but I think he does want to come back to the UK and I think he’ll set the Premier League on fire again, and I think even more so now he’s had this spell at Atletico where he really has impressed to a great degree.”
