Kelly Clarkson Show Officially Ending After 7 Seasons

After seven seasons, The Kelly Clarkson Show is preparing its swan song.

The former American Idol winner launched her daytime talk show in 2019, which is now in its seventh season. Releasing around 160-180 episodes per season on a Monday-Friday schedule, Clarkson has interviewed a wide variety of guests, including Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, Margot Robbie, Jimmy Fallon, Sylvester Stallone, Paris Hilton, Maya Rudolph, and Sterling K. Brown.

Now, Clarkson has decided to step away from her daytime show, although the rest of season 7 will continue through fall 2026. She will continue hosting the majority of the episodes, with guest hosts filling in during days she takes off. Another host will not be taking over after her exit, as the show will come to an official end.

Clarkson’s decision follows the leave of absence she took in the spring of 2025 while her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was being treated for cancer, and so she could be with her children during this difficult time. Blackstock passed away on August 7, 2025. She has now released a statement explaining that the end of her show will allow her to continue prioritizing her children, while also expressing her immense gratitude to everyone involved with the series. I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner. Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.
