Derby County are flying right now and so is American striker Patrick Agyemang.
Agyemang scored his third goal in his last four appearances as Derby County rolled 5-0 past Bristol City on Friday at Ashton Gate. It also marked Agyemang’s ninth goal of the season for the Rams, continuing what has been a majorly productive first season in England.
John Eustace’s squad raced out to a 2-0 lead in the opening 16 minutes with Rhian Brewster and Ben Brereton Diaz both finding the back of the net.
Bobby Clark extended the visitors lead to 3-0 with nine minutes left to play in the first half.
Agyemang added his name to the scoresheet after the hour mark, rising high to head home Joe Ward’s cross from the right wing. The former Charlotte FC forward headed back across the net and into the bottom corner.
Lars-Jorgen Salvesen came off the bench to add Derby County’s fifth and final goal of the night, capping off a dominant road performance.
The Rams jumped into the top-six with the result after earning their fourth league victory out of the past six matches.
Up next for Agyemang and Derby County are back-to-back home league matches against Ipswich Town and Swansea City.
