Roma is evaluating new options for the left flank in these final days of the winter transfer window.
With Kostas Tsimikas’ return to Liverpool close to completion, the Giallorossi are working to bring a new left-back to the capital.
The names on the table are Niccolò Fortini and Dayann Methalie.
Regarding the Italian, Frederic Massara has made a verbal offer to Fiorentina, but the club hasn’t opened negotiations.
The Viola, in fact, want to keep the 2006-born player and are evaluating a contract renewal that expires in 2027. Faced with the Tuscans’ resistance, Roma has identified Methalie as an alternative.
In recent days, as reported by transfer expert Matteo Moretto, direct contact has been established between Roma and Toulouse regarding Methalie, considered one of the most interesting prospects in French football at his position.
Massara is reportedly willing to put a €15 million offer on the table.
The French club’s response, however, was clear: €15 million is not enough.
The club values the 2006-born player at at least €25 million. Therefore, there is currently a gap, but the situation remains fluid and could even be resolved in the coming days.
