January 22 – LaLiga has signed a new agreement with Brazil’s SportyBet as Spain’s top division continues to double down on one of its most important overseas markets.
SportyBet will roll out betting offers and fan promotions tied to specific fixtures, particularly marquee games, using LaLiga’s schedule as a recurring engagement tool throughout the season.
Brazil has long been a priority territory for LaLiga, given the size of its football audience and the league’s strong historical pull through players, clubs and consistent TV exposure.
“LaLiga is one of the most prestigious football leagues in the world and hugely popular with Brazilian fans,” said Igor Liporase, Sporty Group’s country manager in Brazil. “This partnership is a key step in our long-term plan here.”
The activations will include match-linked promotions, merchandise giveaways and access-led experiences, alongside betting incentives tied to specific games, returning across multiple rounds of the season.
“Brazil is one of the most dynamic football markets globally,” said LaLiga South America managing director Marc Tarradas. “Working with SportyBet allows us to deliver initiatives that connect fans more closely with LaLiga’s rivalries and narratives.”
The agreement also fits with SportyBet’s wider football positioning. In 2024, the company signed Real Madrid and Brazil defender Éder Militão as a brand ambassador, reinforcing its association with Spanish football at both club and league level.
More broadly, the partnership underlines how LaLiga is using regulated betting relationships to strengthen its commercial footprint abroad. With competition intensifying between leagues for attention and sponsorship dollars, Brazil remains a market where LaLiga believes its product still carries real leverage — and where partners like SportyBet see clear value in aligning with it.
