AFC draws Women’s Champions League quarter final match-ups

January 16 – The AFC has held the quarter final draw for the AFC Women’s Champions League with the single leg matches to be played March 28 and 29.

Eight clubs from eight different nations have qualified for the knockout rounds from the three groups of four teams. This is the second season of the AFC Women’s Champions League.

Defending champions Wuhan Jiangda Women’s FC from China, winners of Group B, will face South Korea’s Suwon FC Women who finished third in Group C.

Melbourne City FC, who lost last season’s final in a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1, will face Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf. The Aussies won all three of their Group A matches. Nasaf  were the Group B runners-up.

Japan’s Tokyo Verdy Beleza, the Group C winners, will play Stallion Laguna FC, with the Philippines side having advanced from Group C as one of the two best third-placed teams.

North Korea’s Naegohyang Women’s FC, the Group C runners-up, will face Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC, who finished second in Group A.

The semi-finals and final will be played from May 20 to 23, 2026 in a centralised venue.
