Doomsday’ Teaser 4 is Officially Released Online

The final teaser for Avengers: Doomsday is now available online. The fourth short glimpse at the upcoming superhero movie follows on from teases of Chris Evans’ return as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and James Marsden as part of the film’s X-Men contingent. The final teaser, focuses on several Black Panther characters and includes an appearance by The Fantastic Four’s The Thing.

The new teaser brings back Letita Wright as Shuri, who was last seen at the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever accepting her position as Black Panther but not as the King of Wakanda. The question of who does become King is revealed in the teaser, which shows Winston Duke’s M’Baku has now claimed the title, one of the most popular characters in the Black Panther franchise despite his original low-key antagonist role.

Like the other teasers, the trailer hints at death coming to the MCU, and everyone must prepare to face it head on. Shuri and M’Baku appear with Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and his underwater kingdom, which has now been stranded on land, and the teaser ends with M’Baku meeting Ben Grimm aka The Thing. The scene sets up a collaboration between two of the most technologically advanced groups in the MCU, and also subtly crosses over with the Secret Wars comic arc, in which the Wakandans were the first to learn of the threat to the multiverse. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Has the Fate of the MCU Resting on Its Shoulders in More Ways Than One

Although there have been several changes made since the next Avengers movie was announced under the title of The Kang Dynasty, the task facing the upcoming guaranteed $1 billion outing for Marvel’s finest has always been the same. The film needs to prove that Marvel Studios is still capable of delivering the kind of box office results that have made the MCU the world’s biggest, and one-time most unstoppable, franchise in the world.

After a disappointing 2023, things seemed to be getting back on track with Deadpool & Wolverine’s impressive 2024 release. However, all three of Marvel’s 2025 movies, including the much-hyped Fantastic Four’s arrival in the franchise and the highly-praised Thunderbolts, struggled to make the kind of impact that even the heavily criticized Thor: Love and Thunder managed to achieve in 2022.

Marvel Studios may simply have made the mistake of waiting seven years between Avengers movies, the previous longest gap being three years, with the big collaborative outings guaranteed to draw a crowd and rejuvenate interest among casual audiences. Avengers: Doomsday now has the task of kickstarting the end of the Multiverse Saga in a way that has fans desperate for Secret Wars in 2027, and attempting to build to what comes next.

There are many more exciting threads to be pulled in Marvel Studio’s future, from a new X-Men team, through the return of Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange, Thor, and others, as well as the rumor that Sony may finally be willing to play ball and allow their roster of Spider-Man characters be used by Marvel Studios in future movies. How it all plays out could rest on the box office receipts of the next two years.
