Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has been stunningly linked with a move back to CHELSEA in the next couple of transfer windows, and according to reporter Iomie Stanley, he could be a real leader at the back for the Blues.

Enzo Maresca has done a wonderful job at Chelsea so far this season and the Blues are now in the race to challenge for that Premier League title, but that hasnt stopped all the speculation about the players that the Blues could look to sign.

Guehi has been brilliant for Crystal Palace over the past few seasons, his stock in the game has really risen and he is now rated as one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and a player that Chelsea have been linked with signing, for a fee of £60 million.

And amid all the speculation and rumours, Stanley has claimed that Guéhi’s success at Crystal Palace has proven his ability to perform consistently at the highest level, and could be a great addition to that Blues back-line, he said: ‘One of Chelsea’s glaring issues has been the absence of a vocal and commanding presence in defense. He is already captain material at Crystal Palace, could fill this void.

‘His ability to organize the backline and remain composed under pressure would bring much-needed stability.

‘Guéhi’s ball-playing ability makes him an ideal fit for a manager like Enzo Maresca, who values defenders capable of building from the back. His accurate passing and comfort in possession would complement Chelsea’s modern, possession-heavy approach.

‘Re-signing Marc Guéhi would address multiple concerns for Chelsea: improving defensive solidity, injecting leadership, and securing a homegrown talent. With the Blues desperate for defensive consistency, Guéhi’s return could be a pivotal step in their quest to challenge for that Premier League title once again.’

WIRTZ COULD BE FANTASTCI SIGNING

CHELSEA have taken a ‘step forward’ in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz after making contact with the player’s representatives over a potential move to Stamford Bridge, and he would be a quality signing according to reporter Iomie Stanley

It is no secret that Chelsea, have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer windows over the last few seasons, and it is also no secret that Enzo Maresca wants to add a bit more quality to the side in the next few windows.

And that has led to reports that CHELSEA will once again delve into that transfer kitty in the January window and try to add a few new players, with Wirtz a man that the club now want after another impressive season for Bayer Leverkusen this time around

The 21-year-old forward is one of the rising stars of European football and reports that the Blues hold a ‘strong interest’ in the Germany international. It is said that Wirtz is on the club’s ‘radar’.

The Leverkusen midfielder had a stellar season in the club’s unbeaten domestic campaign, scoring 18 goals and registering 20 assists on the way to the Bundesliga and German Cup trophies.

‘Wirtz is the next big thing in German football, the lad is being chased by all the games biggest clubs and will have his choice to choose from when he officially decides to leave Leverkusen.

‘Paying over £100 million for the lad seems like alot of money, but we have seen CHELSEA do that for players that are not even close to the quality of Wirtz, so we can see this transfer happening.

‘Wirtz would be a quality signing for the Blues, but as we said, the club will have his choice and we dont think that CHELSEA are high up on his destinations.

DE JONG BARGAIN

There has been some claims that the likes of Chelsea will be able to land long-term target Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona for just £17 million, which shows just how out of favour he is at the Camp Nou

CHELSEA have had a busier few transfer windows than many people expected, with a number of stars departing the club over the last few windows, and a number of players making their ways to Stamford Bridge.

There was also speculation in the media that a number of world class Barcelona stars were also players that Chelsea were interested in signing, but were unable to get any deals done as they wanted to stay at the Camp Nou.

However – The Catalan club continue to find themselves in a financial mess as they are still operating above the La Liga-imposed annual spending limit.

And according to a recent reports, the club is ready to sacrifice an important piece of the jigsaw. The decision will be taken by the board, who will look to sell among players who have had the least minutes.

Now reports from SPORT suggest that the Catalan giants are open to accepting offers as low as €20 million (£17m/$21m) for the once indispensable player. De Jong’s current deal with Barcelona runs until 2026, but the club is keen to avoid a situation where the midfielder enters the final year of his contract without an extension.

He is a world class player that could be the ideal signing for the club – as he still has many years left in the game and has still not hit his prime.

If the reports are true and Chelsea can get him for £40 million – he could be a great signing for the Blues that is for sure.
