EA Sports aligns FC Pro league seasons to create pathways to international competition

December 10 – EA Sports has set out its latest push into the competitive gaming market with a broad slate of league-partnered tournaments for the 2026 FC Pro League Phase, bringing more than a dozen licensed competitions under a single competitive structure and a combined prize pool exceeding $1 million.

The programme, now entering its third season, reinforces the publisher’s strategy of aligning FC Pro with established football properties across Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.

Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, MLS, Conmebol’s competitions are among the headline partners returning, each offering players the chance to compete under club banners while chasing qualification for the eChampions League (Europe only) and the FC Pro World Championship.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our league partners back for another season of FC esports. These collaborations highlight the real impact esports has in helping football brands reach new fans, and reinforces the credibility FC Pro has built with some of the most respected clubs and leagues in the world.” said Monica Dinsmore, Head of Esports at Electronic Arts.

“With players battling for a seat at prestigious international competitive events, this is sure to be another unmissable season of competition.”

The 2026 calendar is EA’s most coordinated effort yet, with domestic competitions running in a unified window designed to create a clear narrative from regional qualification through to the season-ending global finals.

The full list of confirmed tournaments includes: Conmebol eLibertadores, eLigue 1 McDonald’s, eMLS, ePremier League, eSerie A Goleador, KPN eDivisie, LaLiga FC Pro, WOW Virtual Bundesliga, eBotola, eFirst League, eLeague of Ireland, eLiga Georgia, eSerien, Esports A League, eSuperliga, eSuper Lig Turkey, eUAE, Malta ePremier League and the Orange eLeague. Additional partners are expected to be confirmed in early 2026.

The structure places emphasis on player pathways at a time when football clubs and leagues continue to use esports to reach younger audiences. The consolidation also heightens competitive stakes: each domestic title now doubles as a gateway to the global championship stage.

This season’s field includes several of the game’s most recognisable names. Anders Vejrgang will compete in eSerie A, while Jafonso joins defending ePremier League champions Manchester City in place of long-time standout Tekkz. In France, eLigue 1 will again feature elite talent, including Levi De Weerd and reigning FC Pro World Champion Manu Bachoore.

With a tighter calendar, heavyweight league partners and a clear qualification route, EA’s latest FC Pro cycle signals an effort to stabilise and elevate a competitive landscape that has, in previous editions, struggled with fragmentation.
