2025’s edition of The Game Awards fast approaches and, if you’re tuning in, you’ll want to be prepared. The twelfth annual edition of the biggest show in gaming will feature all the usual: awards for the best and the brightest in the gaming industry, celebrity guests, and, of course, new trailers and announcements.
As per usual, The Game Awards will be held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and streamed live over the internet. You can tune in on its social media or streaming platforms; here’s what to know.

Do be aware that the given start times reflect when the preshow begins, not the main event. The preshow typically lasts about a half hour, and features presentations from a handful of devs. It’s usually reserved for highlighting indie games
Certain awards may be presented during the preshow (last year’s featured Best Fighting Game, Best VR Game, Best Esports Game, Best Esports Athlete, Games for Impact, and Innovation in Accessibility), so don’t miss it if you want the full experience.
The main event of The Game Awards is likely to last around three hours, not inclusive of the half-hour preshow. Since these events often run over, you should expect to be watching for three-and-a-half to four hours past the stated start time, if you plan to stick around all the way through Game of the Year.
Where To Stream The Game Awards 2025
TGA’s YouTube, Twitch, & More
Most viewers choose to watch The Game Awards on the ceremony’s official YouTube or Twitch channels. If you want a reminder when the stream goes live, make sure you’re subscribed to the relevant channels today with notifications on.
This year, though, The Game Awards is streaming on a variety of different social media and streaming platforms. It’ll also be available on IGN and GameSpot, although we can’t provide direct links to those streams yet.
The Game Awards also allows for co-streaming on YouTube and Twitch; if there’s a streamer you watch regularly, chances are they’ll be live during The Game Awards. You can also tune into their livestream for additional commentary during the ceremony.
