Step aside, Liam Neeson, there’s a new action hero in town — and this mama bear is out for blood! Milla Jovovich gears up to save her daughter’s life in director Adrian Grunberg’s latest thriller.

Protector follows Nikki (Jovovich), a veteran war hero who trades her chaotic and violent life in the military for a more peaceful one, but when her teenage daughter, Chloe, is taken by human traffickers, Nikki wastes no time in rushing into a seedy criminal underworld on a desperate mission to find her child, according to the official synopsis by Magenta Light Studios.

“As she tears through a ruthless crime syndicate using her military training, Nikki draws the attention of both the police and the military, shooting her to the top of the most wanted list. In this high-stakes race against time, Nikki must use the violent skills she thought she left behind to save her daughter”

Jovovich stars alongside Matthew Modine, D.B. Sweeney. Michael Stahl-David, Texas Battle, Yoko Hamamura, Don Harvey, Gabriel Sloyer and Isabel Myers in this bloody race to reunite a mother with her daughter.
