Newcastle United return to Premier League action today, taking on Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
We must build on our 2-1 win over Man City last Saturday and bounce back from that midweek defeat in Marseille, but who is available, who will start and is there any early teams news to share?
- Kieran Trippier (hamstring) – Set to miss three to four weeks.
- Sven Botman (back) – Nursing a back issue and expected to miss out.
- Yoane Wissa (knee) – Trained on Wednesday but not yet match fit to feature.
- Will Osula (ankle) – Saw a specialist on Monday and is still feeling some pain.
- Emil Krafth (knee) – Came back from international duty with a minor knee issue.
Following his moment of madness and red card at Man Utd on Monday, Idrissa Gueye serves the start of his three match ban today.
He’s started every game for Everton this season and looks set to be replaced by holding midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.
As we said in our predicted XI, we fully expect Lewis Hall, Joelinton and Nick Woltemade to come back into the side.
Elsewhere, there are early suggestions that a ‘minor knock’ to Nick Pope will allow for Aaron Ramsdale’s introduction, while Howe has a tough call to make at centre-back between Dan Burn and Fabian Schar.
