It was a summer of change at Newcastle United, with several incomings following several first-team exits, where the likes of Callum Wilson, Sean Longstaff and Martin Dubravka all departed.
The latter clearly wanted regular starts, and he’s getting exactly that at Burnley, starting every week under former Newcastle United skipper Scott Parker.
Dubravka hasn’t missed a minute of Burnley’s season and played a vital role in arguably their biggest win of the campaign on Sunday, where the newly-promoted side secured a late 3-2 win at Wolves.
The 36-year-old had a strong game once again, but took his performance to another level in the final moments of stoppage time, getting down low to his left to somehow stop Wolves’ 96th-minute effort. Watch it below:

The iPaper’s Mark Douglas called it a ‘jaw dropping’ save, while Burnley fans believe he is performing even better than former stopper James Trafford, who was heavily linked with Newcastle before joining Man City instead.
Burnley writer Will Lancaster claims Dubravka only cost £2m and is on track to be one of the biggest Premier League bargains if his heroics continue, saying: ‘Special, special word for Martin Dubravka. Could be one of the best £2million signings in Premier League history if he keeps us up. That save at the end is something very, very special.’
Writing on X, another Clarets fan added: ‘I genuinely believe Martin Dubravka is the BEST goalkeeper in the league right now. He hasn’t put a foot wrong and keeps saving us in EVERY SINGLE GAME.’
Dubravka was a solid servant during his time on Tyneside and was emotional at his summer exit, so it’s brilliant to see him showing what he’s always been capable of at Burnley, who could stay up because of him at this rate!
