There is simply no denying that FC Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy continues to churn out special talents one after the other.
Lamine Yamal, just 18 years old, is already at the top of the world, while Pau Cubarsi is rated as one of the best young centre-backs around.
More youngsters such as Marc Bernal, Pedro Fernandez ‘Dro’, and Toni Fernandez, among others, are also starting to make their name at the highest level.
Ebrima Tunkara – the next Yamal?
Away from the first team, Barcelona have another very exciting young prospect making waves in youth football – Ebrima Tunkara.
Rated as one of the most promising footballers coming through at La Masia, Barcelona are already working towards securing the 15-year-old winger’s long-term future at the club, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Indeed, Barcelona met with Tunkara’s representative, superagent Pini Zahavi, this week and discussed their plan and project for Tunkara, who some in Spain have dubbed the ‘next Lamine Yamal’, as per the Italian transfer expert.
At the club since the 2018/19 season, Tunkara was recognised from the beginning as something special.
Just 15 years old, the teenage winger has already earned call-ups to the Juvenil A team (U19) and has even made two appearances in this season’s UEFA Youth League against PSG and Olympiacos.
Barcelona rate Tunkara very highly and want to tie down his long-term future at the club. As such, his contract was one of the topics discussed during the meeting with Zahavi, who has been in the Catalan capital since Monday.
The fact that Zahavi shares an excellent relationship with Barça president Joan Laporta should help the Blaugrana in a big way.
