DWTS Wicked Night Spells Trouble for Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov (SPOILERS)

DWTS Wicked Night Spells Trouble for Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov (SPOILERS)

WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT DANCING WITH THE STARS SEASON 34!

Dancing With The Stars season 34 Wicked Night could spell the end for Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel and her professional dance partner, Pasha Pashkov, despite her popularity. There was no elimination during the Dedication Night episode, so the scores from the judges–Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and guest judge Kym Johnson–along with the viewer votes, will be carried over and combined with those from Wicked Night.

Wicked Night will feature the ten remaining couples dancing to songs from the films Wicked and Wicked: For Good. Three couples will perform Jazz routines including Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy (“What Is This Feeling?), Robert Irwin and Witney Carson (“Dancing Through Life”), and Andy Richter and Emma Slater (“One Short Day”). There will be two Rumbas performed by Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach (“I’m Not That Girl”) and Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa (“For Good”).

There will also be two Contemporary dances performed by Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold (“The Wizard and I”) and Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten (“Defying Gravity”). In addition, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas will perform a Quickstep to “Popular,” and Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik will dance a Foxtrot to “As Long as You’re Mine.”

Danielle and Pasha will be performing an Argentine Tango to “No Good Deed,” which could mark the end of their journey if they’re unable to improve from Dedication Night. Here’s why there’s a good chance that Danielle and Pasha could be the next couple to leave the ballroom.

Danielle Fishel & Pasha Pashkov Have Been Struggling With The Judges’ Scores Despite Her Popularity

During the premiere of Dancing With The Stars season 34, Danielle and Pasha earned scores of 6 from Derek and Bruno (Carrie Ann missed the premiere due to illness) for their Tango to “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson. It was a solid score for the first night, and left them towards the middle of the leaderboard.

However, in week 2, during One Hit Wonders Night, Danielle and Pasha earned scores of 6 again from Derek and Bruno, but a 7 from Carrie Ann for their Cha-cha-cha to “The Rhythm of the Night” by Corona. On TikTok Night in week 3, they earned scores of 7 from all of the judges for their Foxtrot to “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter.

On Disney night in week 4, Danielle and Pasha earned the same scores for their Quickstep to “I Wan’na Be Like You (The Monkey Song),” but, because the other couples have been improving so much, they were second to last on the leaderboard, tied with Scott and Rylee, ahead of only Andy and Emma.

During Dedication Night, Danielle and Pasha earned three scores of 7 from Carrie Ann, Derek, and guest judge Kym Johnson, although Bruno gave them an 8 for their Jive to the Boy Meets World theme song. They were once again tied for second-to-last place on the leaderboard, this time with Jen and Jan, with Andy and Emma at the bottom.

For Wicked Night, Danielle and Pasha will be dancing an Argentine Tango, which differs from a ballroom Tango, which they danced in week 1, because it’s improvisational rather than having a basic step. However, the movements can be more complicated. Considering the other dance styles, it’s possible that Danielle and Pasha might have a more challenging time with the Argentine Tango than the other couples will have with theirs. However, they could be saved by the viewer vote because Danielle is so popular.

Carrie Ann Inaba Has Been Particularly Hard On Danielle & Pasha

On Dedication Night, Danielle and Pasha’s Jive featured her 98-year-old Boy Meets World co-star William Daniels, who played the beloved and revered Mr. Feeny on the show. Danielle dedicated her dance to him, and although it was very touching and nostalgic with Danielle and Pasha channeling Topanga and Corey from the show, Carrie Ann wasn’t dazzled by it.

Carrie Ann stated, “I love a throwback, but I have to say this. Some of your dances are starting to feel like I’m watching the same dance over and over again. Try to give a little bit more variety as far as dynamics. This is also on you, Pasha.” Her criticism was met with loud boos from the audience.

In an interview with Variety, Pasha expressed his distaste for Carrie Ann’s comment, stating, “I was not happy. I always get protective. For me, that comment felt unfair, especially being that she said that the dances looked similar. But the thing is, we did have a quickstep and we had a jive this week. These are two dances that very, very similar.”

Pasha continued, “If we had dances that were drastically different and they felt the same, I’d understand. But, based on the dances that we had, that did not feel like it made sense to me. In my heart, I’m overprotective because I know how hard Danielle is working. I don’t think she deserved that comment.”

Danielle saw both sides of the argument, noting that her premiere night Tango should’ve been more serious, but she wanted to express her joy through it. She explained, “My Tango was a story about me overcoming breast cancer. It was also the first episode of Dancing With the Stars where people were being introduced to me again. There was no way I was going to do my first week and not smile and show the way I was feeling.”

Danielle continued, “So I had a Tango where I smiled, then I had a Cha-cha where I smiled, then I had a Quickstep where I smiled, and now tonight, I had a Jive where I was smiling. She’s not wrong… All I know is next week, it’s the perfect setup for our Argentine Tango.” Danielle is going to have to bring a completely different vibe to the dance if she wants to impress Carrie Ann.

Andy Richter Had The Lowest Score But Could Still Pull Ahead Of Danielle

Since Dancing With The Stars season 34 premiered, Andy and Emma have been at the bottom of the leaderboard, except for week 2 when they were second-to-last. However, the viewer votes have saved them week after week because Andy is steadily improving and is just so lovable and easy to root for.

In week 2, Andy stayed over Corey Feldman and Jenna Johnson and Baron Davis and Britt Stewart, who were one place below and above him, respectively, on the leaderboard. In week 3, when Lauren Jauregui and Brandon Armstrong went home, they were tied with Andy and Emma on the bottom of the leaderboard.

However, in week 4, Andy and Emma stayed with a score of 18 over Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko, who had a score of 23. This was the first indication that Andy was a real contender because of his likability. Although his Dedication Night score was 24 as contrasted with Danielle’s 29, and the scores will carry over, so will the viewer votes. Therefore, it’s possible that Andy could once again pull ahead of a contestant with lower scores than him.

Of course, Danielle is also a very popular and beloved celebrity, who surely earned many votes from her fans due to her Dedication Night Boy Meets World routine. However, she now has to work with Pasha to make her Wicked Night Argentine Tango the best that it can be. If Danielle and Pasha don’t cast a spell over the judges and audience during Wicked Night, then it’s highly possible that they’ll be the next couple eliminated from Dancing With The Stars season 34 for good.
