The Premier League is a ruthless division where loyalty doesn’t always last long, as Nuno Esparito Santo found out last month.
After a superb season at Nottingham Forest last term, Nuno lost his job at the City Ground on 9th September, with owner Evangelos Marinakis pulling the trigger just three games into the new season.
Nuno has since replaced Graham Potter at West Ham, who Newcastle will face two weeks on Sunday, with Forest turning to Ange Postecloglou since the former Porto goalkeeper packed his bags.
Ange’s start to life in Nottingham has not gone to plan, and it’s believed the Australian is already in danger of the sack after zero wins from his opening seven games in charge, with his latest loss being a 2-0 defeat at Newcastle 10 days ago.
The Telegraph report that Postecoglou could be binned off after just eight games should he lose against Chelsea in Saturday’s early kick off, and it seems Marinakis already has a replacement in mind.
It’s believed out of work Sean Dyche has been sounded out, with the former Everton and Burnley boss primed to step in should Forest lose again on Saturday.
Fulham’s Marco Silva is another target, but compensation issues mean Dyche is the likely candidate to come in, with the writing on the wall already for Ange unless a turnaround starts this weekend against top-four contenders Chelsea.
