Ben Doak‘s move to Bournemouth has been reported to include a buy-back clause for Liverpool, while the man who allegedly racially abused Antoine Semenyo has been released on conditional bail.
Alleged racist released on bail
The 47-year-old man who allegedly racially abused Semenyo during Liverpool’s match against Bournemouth has been released on conditional bail, after being arrested on Saturday.
The conditions of his bail include not attending any regulated football matches in the UK and not going within one mile of a designated football stadium.
The person in question was removed from Anfield, after Bournemouth‘s Semenyo reported him to have been racially abusive during the first half.
Merseyside Police said: “An investigation into the incident, which occurred during a Premier League match between Liverpool and Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday 15 August, remains ongoing and we continue to work closely with the club.”
We would expect this ban to be extended so he can attend no further matches, if found guilty.

With the new season comes the return of Steven Scragg‘s excellent post-match columns. Tactical analysis might sometimes be in short supply, but you will always be entertained!
“I’d kept half an eye on the results, and been watching the continuing revolving door of transfers, as out went Luis Diaz, Tyler Morton and Darwin Nunez, while in came Hugo Ekitike and Giovanni Leoni, with an ongoing flirtation with Marc Guehi and the kitchen-sink drama that is Alexander Isak rumbled on.
“For me, I was in need of it all to feel real once again, after 12 weeks that had at times felt totally unreal.
“Doing the mosaic sorted that out, and even the row that was had between two women who were also taking part was an important element in being able to plug back in.”

Liverpool FC: On this day
Dirk Kuyt signed for Liverpool, on this day in 2006, and went on to become Liverpool’s go-to man for goals on the big occasion.
Chairman David Moores had to lend Liverpool money for them to sign Kuyt from Feyenoord for £9m. It proved a good investment, as he gradually transitioned from striker into wide forward, scoring 71 times and winning the League Cup.
While he may only have one Liverpool trophy to his name, he is very favourably remembered for his assimilation into the city and tireless work ethic, as well as an ability to step up in the biggest games.
