Nwaneri – Jesus – EZE Feature in Arsenal news now

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today…

Highly-exciting attacker Ethan Nwaneri has told ARSENAL fans that the Emirates is the place for him, after the talented lad ended all speculation about his future and signed a nice big deal with the club.

With just 12 months remaining on his current deal, a host of top clubs are monitoring Nwnaeri’s situation, with Newcastle reportedly considering a summer move if the young man failed to agree a new contract at the Emirates.

Having spent a decade at the club already, the 18-year-old will continue his association with us after putting pen to paper on a fresh deal, allowing him to develop his skills at the place where he admits he feels comfortable and secure.

After signing his ARSENAL contract, he revealed: “It means everything to me, I’m so happy to have got it done. This is where I feel at home, and where I’m going to develop the best. I’m ready.

“I’m very excited. I see this as my first real season, and part of a proper squad in the changing room. I’m so excited for what I can bring to the team and how I can help the team.

“I’m a very versatile player, so I think I’m going to play anywhere across the front five, and I’m ready to do what the manager needs.”

“I’ve had to adapt to the demands of the Premier League, so I think I’ve changed physically, but also mentally as well in terms of dealing with setbacks and injuries,” he said. “I think I’ve definitely become stronger.

“I think I’ve actually become more direct over the past few years and I’ve added more goals, so I’m excited for what will come next.”

Nwaneri is one of the most talented young players in the Premier League, he is a star that Arsenal hope can develop into a big player for the club, he just needs game time and patients to get to that next level.

Leaving was not going to take him to that next level, this is a good decision from the lad.

ARTETA TOLD SIGN EZE

ARSENAL icon Nigel Winterburn believes Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze could replace Gabriel Martinelli if the Gunners sign the Eagles superstar in a deal that could cost around £68 million this summer.

Arsenal have joined Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea in spending some big money this transfer window to improve the squad enough to keep up their challenge for that Premier League title next season.

Mikel Arteta has added to pretty much every aspect of the squad and spent over £200 million on new players, but his business may not be done yet as it has been constantly reported that the Gunners are still keen on Eze.

Over the past few seasons, Eze has really improved and showed that he is now ready to make that next step in his career, with his performances also catching the eyes of Liverpool, Man United and Tottenham.

Now, amid all the speculation, and quizzed about Arsenal’s interest in Eze, Winterburn told Metro via NewBettingOffers.co.uk: ‘I think he’d be a good fit.

‘Whether we would get him or not I don’t know. He’s a player who I think is a game-changer. He’s a lovely player.

‘Would I love to have him in the Arsenal squad? Of course I would. I don’t know what money Arsenal have got left – they may have to shift out one or two players first.

‘But if you asked me if we should take Eze, I would say yes.’

ARSENAL have already shown that they will spend money on players they really wants, they have pretty much signed all their top targets this summer window. So if they really want to add Eze to the side, then they will.

ARSENAL TOLD SELL JESUS

ARSENAL legend Alan Smith has urged Mikel Arteta to ‘move on’ Gabriel Jesus after the summer signing of powerhouse striker Viktor Gyokeres. – but wants his former club to keep hold of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal’s attack was debilitated by serious injuries last season as both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus were plagued, that meant that Mikel Arteta had to employ midfielder Mikel Merino up top for some of the clubs biggest games.

However – Mikel Arteta made the decision to complete the signing of Gyokeres, one of the best strikers in the game, and a forward that managed to net an impressive 52 goals last season for Sporting Lisbon.

And with Jesus not coming back until the beginning of 2026, and asked about possible Arsenal departures before the transfer deadline, Smith told Metro via BestBettingSites: ‘I think somebody like Gabriel Jesus might go given his track record with injuries.

‘He might be one that you say, thanks, and try and move him on, get a bit of money in. Obviously, with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, there might not be too many opportunities for him this season.

‘I would be tempted to keep Leandro Trossard because he’s a versatile player who’s done well and scored important goals.

‘I don’t think you’d want to lose him. And the same with Martinelli actually – he didn’t have the best of seasons, but I think you definitely want to keep him.’

IcFootballnews Says….

Mikel Arteta is very loyal to his ARSENAL players, he is loyal to Jesus and that is why the Brazilian has been at the club for so long. But now that Gyokeres is at the club, he needs to get that £250k-a-week wages off the books.

Jesus will be out for most of next season and therefore be pretty much useless, it is time to get rid.
