AMC is expanding its Immortal Universe franchise with Talamasca: The Secret Order, and the network debuted a new trailer at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, confirming its Halloween-centric release date. AMC has done well with the works of author Anne Rice, first with Interview with the Vampire and then with Mayfair Witches. The next entry in the franchise, dubbed the Immortal Universe, will not be based on a specific book series, but rather on the concept of the Talamasca, a secret organization that appears across the franchise.

Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe is expanding, and Season 2 of ‘Mayfair Witches’ is connecting all three shows.
Talamasca: The Secret Order will debut on AMC on Oct. 26, 2025, and follow the secret organization that monitors vampires, witches, demons, and all manner of supernatural characters. The trailer features the main cast, including Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Jason Schwartzman in a guest role. The biggest reveal is that Eric Bogosian will return as his character Daniel Molloy, last seen in Interview with the Vampire.
A New World of Gods and Monsters
The trailer for Talamasca: The Secret Organization paints the secret society as the Immortal Universe’s answer to S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Torchwood/U.N.I.T. in Doctor Who. While the organization might not have had its own book, the series has plenty of material to draw from, including the numerous entries in the Interview with the Vampire series and the Mayfair Witches. The presence of Daniel Molloy also hints at the franchises becoming far more interconnected, possibly leading to a crossover between the three series.
Releasing Talamasca: The Secret Order on October 26 aligns with AMC’s tradition of releasing horror-related series around Halloween. The Walking Dead premiered on Halloween Night back in 2010 to massive ratings, with each subsequent season, apart from the final one, airing in October. Interview with the Vampire debuted on Oct. 2, 2022, as part of AMC’s Fear Fest block. Talamasca: The Secret Order will debut five days before Halloween on the last Sunday of October.
Talamasca: The Secret Order will run for six episodes, concluding on Nov. 30, 2025. The next entry in the Immortal Universe franchise will be Interview with the Vampire Season 3, adapting the popular book The Vampire Lestat. Interview with the Vampire Season 3 is set to premiere on AMC in 2026, while Mayfair Witches Season 3 is currently in production and is expected to air in late 2026 at the earliest. The Immortal Universe has now become AMC’s new The Walking Dead, a popular horror-centric franchise with multiple spin-off series that pick up shortly after one ends its season run, giving AMC a recurring series that is seemingly always on the air in some form.
