The USMNT once again got off to a hot start on Monday evening in St Louis as a beautiful ball from Weston McKennie found Christian Pulisic who made no mistakes and scored a goal in the fourteenth minute. Unlike their last meeting though, that wasn’t the end of it. A second Pulisic influenced goal (though it seemed like more of an own goal) in the 33rd and a Ricardo Pepi finish in the 42nd had the score at 3-0 at the half. The defense wasn’t exactly on lockdown in this one however as a Demarai Gray brace bracketed a Tim Weah thunderblast which left us with our final scoreline of 4-2. The US largely dominated possession and had some truly lovely passing sequences on their way to the win.
The team walked away with the win but who will walk away with the much coveted SSFC Man of the Match?
