Even better, this could tee up their appearances in Sonic 4. With G.U.N. and now Amy all confirmed for the movie, building out these connections through the Knuckles show would strengthen the entire universe. Sonic X never shied away from mixing character arcs and plotlines across multiple fronts, and the franchise should absolutely take a page out of that book. Rouge doesn’t just fit the world. She helps make it feel richer, more exciting, and far more unpredictable. Rouge was a secret weapon in Sonic X, and she could be again. All the pieces are already in place – the only thing left is for the movies to play their ace.
