Today is the day – Chelsea’s fixtures for the 2025-2026 Premier League season have just been announced.
Anyone who wants to buy Chelsea tickets for our 2025/2026 fixtures can now start looking.
Club World Cup changes usual mindset for fans
Usually this is a day right in the middle of a post-season lull where there’s not much else to think about other than the promise of a new campaign to come. This time it’s a bit different – Chelsea are playing in the USA at the Club World Cup, so there are plenty of distractions.
Still, those two things are very closely linked. In a reverse of our usual summer, we will have this tournament as our “preseason” in terms of settling in new signings and working on things, then we will have our holidays and just one pair of friendlies the week before the season starts.
Ticket buyers can already start planning their trip with a look at the calendar – but they may want to avoid those first few weeks where we’re bound to be pretty undercooked compared to some of our rival teams.
Chelsea handed local games to start season
At least there’s a distinctly London flavour to the first month, and so minimal travel for Enzo Maresca’s team.
We start against Crystal Palace on the opening Sunday of the season. Next up is West Ham away. There’s then an international break, which should help continue to get players up to speed, fitness wise.
After that we should be close to firing on all cylinders again for an away trip to Brentford, who will have a new manager and be in a new era following Thomas Frank’s move to Tottenham.
Our first trip outside the national capital is also our first game against a traditional big 6 team – following our return to the Champions League midweek, we head to Manchester to face United in mid-September.
