MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, lineups, advice for Tuesday, June 17, 2025

Rafael Devers is set to make his debut for the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday after being traded from the Red Sox roughly 18 months after signing an 11-year, $331 million extension with Boston. But the fallout with Boston leads to a new opportunity, which could be exactly what Devers needs to return to a top option for daily Fantasy baseball players making MLB DFS picks. After a slow start, Devers has the second-best OPS (.905) over his nine-year MLB career, led by his 33 extra-base hits and 56 walks.

He faces a familiar team in the American League Cleveland Guardians to begin his Giants career on Tuesday, but should you roster the three-time All-Star immediately for MLB DFS lineups? Before locking in any MLB DFS picks for Tuesday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine’s daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won more than $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Monday, McClure highlighted Astros second baseman Jose Altuve as one of his top MLB DFS picks on both sites. The result: Altuve went 1-for-4 with a home run, returning 14 points on DraftKings and 18.7 points on FanDuel. Anybody who included him in their lineups could have been well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2025 MLB season continuing on Tuesday, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks for June 17. You can head to SportsLine now to see them.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Tuesday, June 17

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Tuesday is Dodgers first baseman/outfielder Shohei Ohtani, who is $6,500 on DraftKings and $4,800 on FanDuel for MLB DFS lineups. Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and two RBI on Monday for his third straight multi-hit contest. He hit two home runs on Saturday, raising his total to 25 this year, which leads the National League. The two-time reigning NL MVP Award winner also leads the NL in slugging percentage (.643) and OPS (1.039) and leads baseball in runs scored (73).

He has 21 of his 25 home runs against right-handed pitchers as the Padres are scheduled to start RHP Randy Vasquez. Ohtani has a 1.107 OPS against RHP, and McClure views the elite hitter as worthy of his price for Tuesday MLB DFS lineups.

McClure is also rostering Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena, who is $4,600 on DraftKings and $3,200 on FanDuel. Pena went 0-for-4 on Monday, but he entered with four multi-hit contests over his prior six games. The 27-year-old shortstop had scored at least one run in six straight games. The Astros had their five-game winning streak snapped on Monday, but after suffering back-to-back losses only twice over the last six weeks, McClure expects a bounce-back performance on Tuesday.

Pena is seventh in baseball with a .320 batting average and 19th in OPS (.852). He has plenty of experience and production against Athletics probable starter JP Sears as Pena is batting .304 (5-for-23) with a home run and a double against the left-handed pitcher. Pena, a right-handed hitter, is hitting .382 with a .975 OPS against LHP this season. See McClure’s full MLB DFS player pool right here.
