Today is the last day of Xbox Game Pass‘s Free Play Days promotion, meaning six free games will no longer be available as of tonight. Free Play Days is a great opportunity to try a few games you may have had an eye on, because the Game Pass promotion also brings steep discounts for most of the included titles.
Today, Sunday, February 8, is the last day to play the following six games for free with Xbox Game Pass (per Xbox Wire):
- NBA 2K26
- PGA Tour 2K25
- Risk of Rain 2
- Sid Meier’s Civilization 6
- LEGO 2K Drive
- TopSpin 2K25
TopSpin is the only Free Play Days game that is not accompanied by a deep discount; all the others are more than 50% off.
Xbox Free Play Days Is Ending Feb 8
There aren’t any obvious Game of the Year contenders here, but there are still some enticing games to give a test run. NBA 2K, PGA Tour 2K, and TopSpin are arguably the best simulation games in their respective sports. Risk of Rain 2 is a beloved roguelike, LEGO 2K Drive offers some nice casual arcade racing, and Civ 6 is solid after its full lifetime of post-launch support, something that can’t yet be said about its still-troubled successor.
If you try any of these games and find yourself hooked, here’s all the details on the Microsoft Store sales occurring simultaneously and outlasting Free Play Days:

Last Chance To Play Multiple Games For Free
Subscribing to Game Pass gives you a wealth of games to play, but Free Play Days is another underrated benefit. You get to try out some bonus games when a publisher – 2K this time – partners with Microsoft for a short promotion. Free Play Days started on February 5, but today is the last day, though it’s not clear from Xbox Wire when exactly these six games will stop being available through Game Pass.
Another bonus to Free Play Days is that all six included 2K games can be played regardless of which Game Pass subscription you have; they’re available to Essential, Premium, and Ultimate subscribers. The service is practically compulsory, since you need it if you want to play your Xbox online, so this is a great chance for the lower-tier subscribers to play some new games for free. Act fast, though, there’s only one more day to play these six games for free on Xbox Game Pass.
